Yosemite
June 11 - 13, 2006
This year, for our wedding anniversary, we went to Yosemite for a couple of nights. The big winter was very evident here - the waterfalls were huge and the remnants of the valley flooding were still around. We took a big hike - always a good idea for the first hike of the season - from the valley floor to Glacier Point - one way is 4.8 miles with over 3260 elevation change, and we did the roundtrip. Thankfully there were lots of beautiful flowers and spectacular views to help us slog up the hill, and the promise of mai-tais to get us down again.
